The world's biggest tech company has again selected an ITAD services provider to join its business accelerator program.
Apple chose Morgan Hill, Calif.-based e-scrap recycling and ITAD service company Digital Green Global to join the second class of its Impact Accelerator program. The class includes 16 environment-focused businesses owned by Black, Hispanic and Indigenous people.
The program, which is part of Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, provides training, mentorship and a chance to do business with the world’s second-most valuable company (after oil giant Saudi Aramco).
In the first round of participant selections, Apple extended an invitation to Stafford, Texas ITAD firm GreenTek Solutions.
Albert Lozano is the president of Digital Green Global, which provides data destruction, reverse logistics, ITAD and e-scrap recycling services.
"To be recognized as a company that is 'working on the cutting edge of environmental services and solutions' is an honor," Digital Green Global wrote in a Facebook post about its inclusion in the program. "Together we will help advance a green economy and future."
After completing the three-month program, all of the program’s participants will be considered for business opportunities with Apple, as the company works to achieve carbon neutrality across its manufacturing supply chain by 2030, the release notes.
