The Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) and Natural Resources Canada will host a webinar discussing extraction of strategic materials from e-scrap, as part of a side-event to the 2021 World Circular Economy Forum. The Global Electronics Council (GEC) is forming ad hoc groups addressing a number of topics, including device design for repairability and recyclability, secure data deletion and more.  Northwestern University and Delft University of Technology computer engineers introduced BFree, a platform aiding development of battery-free electronic devices that run on intermittent, harvested energy. Battery recycling company Nth Cycle was named a runner up at the TechCrunch Disrupt Start-up Battlefield.
